John Kennedy exposed a lefty professor’s web of lies so brutally it rendered her speechless

Liberal academics love lecturing Republicans about respecting institutions.
But they hate it when their own words come back to haunt them.
And John Kennedy caught this liberal professor in a web of lies that left her speechless.
University professor gets schooled by Louisiana Senator
Kate Shaw thought she was walking into a friendly environment when Democrats invited her to testify at Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing.
Shaw is a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as a legal analyst for ABC News.
She’s also married to MSNBC host Chris Hayes, which tells you everything you need to know about her political leanings.
The hearing was supposed to focus on nationwide judicial injunctions and whether federal judges have too much power to block presidential actions.
Democrats brought Shaw in as their expert witness to argue that courts should be able to stop Trump’s agenda.
But Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) had different plans for Shaw’s testimony.
Kennedy opened his questioning by asking the panel of witnesses a simple question about judicial overreach.
"Do any of you think that nationwide or universal injunctions are not being abused?" Kennedy asked.
Shaw tried to wiggle out of giving a straight answer with academic jargon.
"I’m not sure what the — if I may, Senator, I’m not sure what the time horizon of the question is," Shaw responded.
After more evasive language, Shaw finally claimed she hadn’t seen any abuse of judicial injunctions.
That’s when Kennedy pounced on her obvious hypocrisy.
Senator exposes professor’s partisan flip-flopping
Kennedy came prepared with Shaw’s own writings and statements.
"I’ve read your stuff and, and I’ve read your writings," Kennedy told Shaw. "I don’t wanna get bogged down with this, but I have little respect for your opinion because I’ve read your stuff."
Kennedy then laid out Shaw’s blatant double standard for the entire hearing room to witness.
When Biden was president and judges issued injunctions against his policies, Shaw attacked those judges as partisan actors.
Kennedy quoted Shaw’s previous criticism where she called judges "judges acting like they’re politicians in robes and judges looking like crass political actors."
But now that Trump is president, Shaw suddenly thinks judicial injunctions are perfectly acceptable.
"But now that President Trump’s in the White House — who you dislike — you think that universal injunctions taste like pumpkin pie," Kennedy said.
Kennedy wasn’t finished dismantling Shaw’s credibility.
"I have to discount what you say ’cause I think you act on your political beliefs," Kennedy stated. "And I worry that that’s what you’re teaching your kids."
Shaw had no response to Kennedy’s accurate assessment of her partisan bias.
Professor’s "evil" comments come back to bite her
Kennedy saved his most damaging revelation for the end of his questioning.
He confronted Shaw about inflammatory comments she made about Supreme Court justices on her podcast.
"On April 22nd, 2024, you said there are some members of the Supreme Court that are evil," Kennedy stated. "Which justices were you talking about?"
Shaw immediately tried to deny making such statements.
"I’ll take it at your word, Senator. I don’t recall using that word," Shaw responded.
But Kennedy had the receipts.
He read Shaw’s exact words from her April 22, 2024 podcast: "You said, quote, ‘Justice Kagan, I mean, will she be able to control the opinion’s future distortion by her evil colleagues? Probably not.’ End quote."
Shaw desperately tried to claim it was a "transcription error" and insisted she never said such things.
Kennedy wasn’t buying her backtracking.
"No, you said it. Why don’t you own up to it?" Kennedy demanded. "Which ones do you think are evil?"
Shaw refused to answer, clearly embarrassed that her own words were being used against her.
Kennedy delivered his final judgment on Shaw’s credibility.
"You’re embarrassed that you made that statement, aren’t you?" Kennedy asked.
When Shaw tried to claim she doesn’t speak that way in her classroom, Kennedy shut down her excuses.
"You did right here… on your podcast. April 22nd, 2024. Big. As. Dallas."
Kennedy concluded with his signature flair: "And you’re an officer of the court, and you’re here advising us to be respectful of federal judges. And you say there are evil members of the United States Supreme Court. Gag me with a spoon. You’re part of what’s the problem in all of this."
Liberal academics can’t hide their true colors
Shaw’s humiliation perfectly demonstrates the problem with America’s academic institutions.
These professors pretend to be objective scholars when they’re really partisan activists pushing left-wing propaganda.
They change their supposed principles based on which political party controls the White House.
Judicial restraint is important when Democrats are in power.
But judicial activism becomes necessary when Republicans win elections.
Shaw got caught red-handed switching her position based on pure partisan politics.
Even worse, she tried to lie about her own documented statements when confronted with the evidence.
Kennedy’s systematic takedown of Shaw’s credibility went viral on social media after the hearing.
The video clips show exactly why Americans have lost trust in academic institutions and legal experts.
Shaw represents everything wrong with the liberal elite – they think they can say whatever they want without consequences.
But thanks to Kennedy’s thorough preparation and sharp questioning, Shaw’s mask slipped completely.
Her true partisan nature was exposed for everyone to see.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will continue examining reforms to the federal court system.
But Shaw’s credibility as an "objective" legal expert is permanently destroyed.
