John Fetterman may have made one of the worst mistakes of his career.

Fetterman is now standing on shaky ground.

And John Fetterman started one fight with Donald Trump that he will live to regret.

John Fetterman calls for war with Iran

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman now occupies an odd space in the Democrat Party.

Fetterman won’t budge on supporting biological males playing women’s sports or transgender surgeries for kids.

But Fetterman also angered the left-wing base by denouncing the pro-Hamas caucus in his party following the October 7 terrorist attack in Israel.

Fetterman went beyond calling out anti-Semitism on the Left, however.

Fetterman attacks Trump as soft

The Pennsylvania Senator is now blasting President Trump for not going to war on Israel’s behalf to destroy Iran’s nuclear reactor.

Fetterman reacted angrily to reports that Trump called off a plan by Israel to enlist America in a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities to instead engage Iran in negotiations.

In a post on social media Fetterman attacked Trump as soft on Iran.

“The only purpose of Iran’s nuclear program is to create weapons. We can’t allow that or negotiate with this regime. Provide our comprehensive military support and whatever else Israel requires to destroy Iran’s capabilities,” Fetterman wrote.

Fetterman screen capped a story from Axios with the headline “Trump Envoy Quietly Met with Israel Officials Ahead of Iran talks.”

The story described Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff keeping Israel apprised of the administration’s strategy in dealing with Iran.

“Ron Dermer and David Barnea, Israel’s strategic affairs minister and the director of the Mossad intelligence agency, slipped into Paris for the low-profile meeting with Witkoff to try to influence the U.S. position ahead of the second round of talks in Rome on Saturday, the officials said,” Axios reported.

In the Oval Office Trump told reporters he hadn’t backed off his goal of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and that a military strike was still on the table if negotiations failed.

“I wouldn’t say waved off. I’m not in a rush to do it because I think that Iran has a chance to have a great country and to live happily without death. And I’d like to see that. That’s my first option. If there’s a second option, I think it would be very bad for Iran. And I think Iran is wanting to talk. I hope they’re wanting to talk,” Trump stated.

Trump said it was in Iran’s best interests to do a deal rather than go to war against America.

“It’s going to be very good for them if they do. And I’d like to see Iran thrive in the future. It’ll do fantastically well. I know the Iranian people, they’re incredible people. Always have been very smart, very energetic, very successful people,” Trump added.

Trump said he had no interest in seizing Iran’s oil fields or conquering their territory.

The only objective was preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon and Trump believes diplomacy is the preferable option to war.

And I don’t want to do anything that’s going to hurt anybody. I really don’t, but Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon. It’s, you know, pretty simple. It’s really simple. We’re not looking to take their industry, we’re not looking to take their land, all we’re saying is you can’t have a nuclear weapon.
