Joe Biden’s poll numbers in this state just guaranteed Trump’s victory in 2024
If Joe Biden runs for re-election in 2024 against Donald Trump, Democrats are in big trouble.
That terrifies Democrats and the radical Left.
And that’s because Joe Biden’s poll numbers in this state just guaranteed Trump’s victory in 2024.
A blockbuster Des Moines Register poll from Iowa showed the depths of Joe Biden’s unpopularity as well as how strongly Donald Trump is positioned to defeat him.
The poll found Trump leading Biden by 11 points in Iowa, 51 percent to 40, and that just 33 percent of Iowans approve of Biden’s job as President with a whopping 62 percent disapproving.
The Des Moines Register reports:
In a hypothetical 2024 rematch, former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in Iowa by 11 percentage points, a new Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll shows.
In 2020, Trump defeated Biden by about 8 percentage points, carrying the state 53% to 45%.
In the new survey, 51% of likely Iowa voters in the 2024 election would vote for Trump, a Republican, while 40% say they would vote for Biden, a Democrat. Another 4% say they would not vote for either candidate, and 5% are not sure.
Donald Trump carried Iowa by eight points in 2020.
If Trump increased his winning margin over Biden in Iowa in 2024 by three points, that would spell doom for Biden.
Voting patterns tend to hold steady across the country.
If Trump increased his vote share in Iowa by three points, that would likely reflect itself in other Midwestern states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, meaning Trump would carry their Electoral College votes.
Trump boosting his support in Iowa by three points would also put states like Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona in the red column.
Should that play out, Trump would win a larger Electoral College victory in 2024 than he did in 2016 when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton.
This poll will terrify Democrats and increase chatter on the Left that Biden needs to decline to seek re-election so the Party can field a more viable candidate to run against Trump.
