Joe Biden went on TV and made one gaffe that caused his handlers to cringe
Joe Biden’s handlers want him locked in his Delaware basement for as much of the campaign as possible.
There is a reason they want to limit his interactions with voters and reporters.
That became clear when Joe Biden went on TV and made one gaffe that caused his handlers to cringe.
Polls show Biden losing altitude in the key state of Florida.
President Trump is making inroads with the Latino voters in Florida because Biden alienated Cuban voters when he served in the Obama administration, which lifted the embargo on the murderous Castro regime.
Hispanics in Florida also worry about the Democrats leftward drift and reject socialism because they fled socialist countries in Latin and South America to come to the United States.
During his swing through Florida Biden did a local media interview where he listed his plan to combat the coronavirus which really amounted to promising to do things the Trump administration was already doing.
“What I laid out back in March, what I suggested the president should do then. Number one, we’d have to get in place testing — same-day testing and do it quickly, move on it, move on it, make it nationwide, number one. Number two, we have to be in a position where we provide all the protective gear, from these masks and — to everything else that are needed for first responders, doctors, nurses, the rescue people, that hasn’t been done. Number three, I would be setting the example that I’ve tried to set since this began of being responsible, wearing masks,” Biden stated.
When the interviewer pressed Biden on if he would shut the country down again if there was a spike in cases Biden declared that he would roll back reopening.
“Absolutely. I would make sure that — I would encourage everyone to wear a mask. I would encourage every governor to make it a national — a mandate in their states. I would move on testing, which is a critical element of this. I would move very quickly on making sure that we’re able to deal with — safely open our schools. The schools need about $200 million nationally — I mean, $20 billion nationally to open safely,” Biden added.
America cannot afford another shutdown.
Florida, Texas, and Arizona proved they aren’t even necessary.
Joe Biden promising to shut the country down again helps President Trump frame the election as a referendum on a choice between two alternatives.
That is a contest Joe Biden can’t win.
