Joe Biden used two words to describe Trump supporters that instantly backfired
Donald Trump conceded the Presidential election in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A few hours later, Joe Biden spoke to the nation for the first time as the uncontested President-elect.
But Joe Biden used two words to describe Trump supporters that instantly backfired.
In his remarks from Delaware, introducing failed Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland as his Attorney General nominee, Biden veered off into a lie-filled rant about the riot at the Capitol.
While what took place was a riot, it was not an “insurrection” and Biden falsely smeared every Trump supporter in attendance as a “domestic terrorist.”
“They weren’t protesters – don’t dare call them protesters. They were a riotous mob, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists,” Biden began.
Biden then falsely claimed the President incited the riot.
“I wish we could say we couldn’t see it coming, but that isn’t true . . . the past four years we’ve had a President who’s made his contempt for our democracy, our Constitution, the rule of law clear in everything he has done,” Biden continued.
But Biden saved his biggest lie for last.
The former Vice President baselessly claimed the rioters were treated with kid gloves by the Capitol Hill Police and would have been shot on sight if they were Black Lives Matter rioters.
“No one can tell me that if it had been a group of Black Lives Matter protesting yesterday, they wouldn’t have been treated very, very, differently than the mob of thugs that stormed the Capitol,” Biden added.
This is a lie.
Police shot one unarmed woman – an Air Force veteran – in the throat and killed her.
It was all captured on video.
Police did not shoot Black Lives Matter terrorists.
In fact, they were given free rein to riot, loot, and torch buildings until they got bored of all the destruction.
Joe Biden pledged to bring unity and healing to the country.
That was a lie.
Biden demonized his political opponents and defended his supporters with a series of transparent lies.
