Joe Biden killed his career with one devastating mistake
Former Vice President Joe Biden is rumored to be making a 2020 White House bid.
Those plans went up in flames.
That’s because he stood in front of a crowd and made on career killing mistake.
Biden spoke at the left-wing Human Rights Campaign’s annual dinner.
The former Vice President launched into a tirade about President Trump and his supporters.
His speech went off the rails when he smeared Trump supporters as the “dregs of society.”
“Despite losing in the courts, and in the court of opinion, these forces of intolerance remain determined to undermine and roll back the progress you all have made,” Biden told dinner attendees Saturday evening.
“This time they—not you—have an ally in the White House. This time they have an ally. They’re a small percentage of the American people—virulent people, some of them the dregs of society,” Biden continued.
Biden then urged the crowd to do what they could to oppose Trump and his administration for promoting “prejudice” under the guise of culture.
“Those who try to excuse this kind of prejudice in the name of culture, I say, ‘Prejudice is prejudice, and humanity is humanity. It is a crime,’” he said. “Our work is not yet done–by any stretch of the imagination. The stakes are much too high.”
Biden’s comments call back to Hillary Clinton’s famous “basket of deplorables” gaffe.
Both comments show Democrats hate Trump supporters.
They think Americans who live in fly over country and who support the President are not worthy of respect.
If Biden runs against Trump these comments will be an anchor around his campaign.
