Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin one name that has all hell breaking loose
Joe Biden continues to escalate tensions with Russia.
Biden is playing a dangerous game.
And Joe Biden called Vladimir Putin one name that has all hell breaking loose.
The world was horrified at the news of atrocities committed by the Russian army in Bucha, a suburb of Kyiv where Russian troops killed hundreds of civilians.
“The bodies of 410 civilians have been removed from Kyiv-area towns that were recently retaken from Russian forces, Ukraine’s prosecutor-general, Iryna Venediktova, said. Associated Press journalists saw the bodies of at least 21 people in various spots around Bucha, northwest of the capital,” the Associated Press reports.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called it genocide.
‘“These are war crimes and it will be recognized by the world as genocide,” Zelensky declared.
When Joe Biden returned to the White House, reporters asked him if he agreed with that characterization of genocide.
Biden said he did not, but declared Putin a war criminal and called for a war crimes trial investigation into the Russian President for the actions of his forces in Ukraine.
BIDEN: [Putin] is a war criminal. …We have to gather all the detail [to] have a war crime trial. This guy is brutal. What’s happening in Bucha is outrageous.
REPORTER: Do you agree that it’s genocide?
BIDEN: No, I think it’s a war crime. …I’m seeking more sanctions. pic.twitter.com/HDGfbS4DaP

A reporter asked Biden if he would support additional sanctions against Putin and Russia over the killing of civilians in Bucha.
“I’m seeking more sanctions, yes,” Biden responded before adding that, “I’ll have time to announce that soon.”
“I’m going to continue to add sanctions,” Biden continued.
Calling Vladimir Putin a war criminal and demanding he face a war crimes trial is a serious escalation by Biden against Russia.
And it could prove to be dangerous.
Demanding Putin face trial closes a potential off ramp for a diplomatic solution to this war.
The Russian military also possesses a much lower threshold to use nuclear weapons than America.
Joe Biden repeatedly declaring his support for ending Putin’s reign in Russia could put him in the position of believing the war in Ukraine and the West’s response presents an existential threat to the existence of the Russian government.
And that could cause Putin to order the detonation of a battlefield nuclear weapon to force the West to back down.
