Jen Psaki gave this disgusting answer to a question about a soldier’s death
Americans were speechless.
It is not often they see a public official downplay the death of a United States soldier.
And Jen Psaki gave this disgusting answer to a question about a soldier’s death.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott initiated Operation Lonestar and deployed the Texas National Guard in response to Joe Biden opening the border to waves of illegal immigration.
Thanks to Joe Biden’s reckless open borders policies, tragedy struck.
22-year-old Texas Army National Guard Specialist Bishop E. Evans died from drowning while trying to save two illegal aliens.
The two illegal aliens were eventually found to be part of a drug smuggling operation.
At a subsequent press briefing, Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Henrich asked Psaki if Joe Biden felt any responsibility for Evans’ death.
Psaki declined to accept blame, claiming that Evans was an employee of the state of Texas.
“Well, of course we are mourning the loss of his life and we are grateful for the work of every National Guardsman. I would note that the National Guard works for the states, so he is an employee of the Texas National Guard and his efforts and his operation were directed by there, not by the federal government in this effort,” Psaki stated.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott fired back at Psaki, explaining that the only reason the Texas National Guard was at the border was due to the Biden administration’s failure to stop the waves of illegal aliens crossing into the country.
“First, we would not have to have the National Guard on the border if the Biden administration was very simply enforcing the laws passed by the United States Congress and securing our border. Second, if the Biden administration merely kept in place what the Trump administration put in place, the Trump administration led to the lowest number of border crossings in decades. We are dealing with a catastrophe caused by the Biden administration,” Governor Abbott declared.
Governor Abbott then praised National Guard Specialist Evans’ family as a longtime military family, and said that he and other troops deserved a President who placed a priority on border security.
“That said, one last point, and that is, listen, this is a tragedy for this National Guard soldier, who was a hero, by risking his own life to save the life of others. I spoke with his family and they said he is a loving man, he comes from a family that’s long been engaged in the United States military. They love our country. Our country demands a secured border. We need a President who will stand up and secure the border,” Governor Abbott concluded.
