Ilhan Omar is freaking out after the last person anybody expected launched a run against her
Rep. Ilhan Omar has made a huge splash since getting into office.
She has done everything she can to prove she hates America.
And now she is freaking out after the last person anybody expected launched a run against her.
Ilhan Omar wants you to believe that America is a racist hell-hole, despite the fact that it is the country that brought her in from her war-torn home country of Somalia.
Instead of being thankful for all that America has done for her, she continues to trash the country, and work to change it so it is more like the country she fled from.
Her reign of terror could soon come to an end after she got a challenger that she never saw coming.
Dalia al-Aqidi is an Iraqi refugee living in Omar’s district, and she went on Fox and Friends to announce she is challenging Omar as a Republican because she objects to the way Omar describes the United States.
Al-Aqidi claims that Omar is both hurting her own constituents, and the nation as a whole with her anti-America rhetoric.
She blasted Omar for trying to divide the nation, adding that the U.S. isn’t as divided as Omar claims we are.
“We’re all Americans and we’re all citizens and yes we have our differences but we’re not as divided,” she said.
Al-Aqidi also expressed her support for President Trump’s immigration policies.
“I came to the United States as a refugee, a legal immigrant and there is no secret that so many groups and people are trying to harm the U.S. … by having open borders and not vetting the people that are coming into our country, which is very dangerous,” she said.
This announcement makes al-Aqidi among a large group of Republicans vying for the seat.
Of all of them, she has the closest background to Omar.
But that seems to be where their similarities end, considering that al-Aqidi is thankful for the United States for taking her in while Omar has nothing but disdain for the country she resides in.
Polling shows that Omar could potentially be vulnerable.
But she got into office with landslide support, making any challenge to her an uphill battle.
Only time will tell what will happen to Omar, and whether her political future will continue on.
