Hillary Clinton found out this longtime ally insulted her in the most humiliating way possible
Hillary Clinton keeps inching closer to a political comeback.
But Hillary just got some bad news.
And Hillary Clinton found out this longtime ally insulted her in the most humiliating way possible.
Rumors continue to circulate that Hillary Clinton will run for President in 2024 if Joe Biden declines to seek a second term.
Hollywood – a long-time safe space for the Clinton family – tried to do its part by shopping a limited series entitled Rodham – based on a 2020 novel – which reimagines Clinton’s political career if she had never married Bill Clinton.
In the book, Hillary Rodham wins election to the U.S. Senate and runs for the Democrat Party nomination in 2020 against Bill Clinton, who she met and had a relationship with but never married.
After a woman steps forward with credible rape allegations against Bill Clinton, Hillary wins the nomination and defeats Jeb Bush for the Presidency.
Hollywood tried running similar shows like Commander-in-Chief and Madam Secretary ahead of Clinton’s 2008 and 2016 White House bids.
But there was a problem with Rodham.
No one wanted to watch it.
Even in today’s “content is king” era, where streaming services will throw anything and everything up on their platforms to try and attract viewers, everyone passed on Rodham.
Hulu has passed on “Rodham,” writer-producer Sarah Treem’s adaptation of the 2020 Curtis Sittenfeld novel that’s been in development at the streamer since summer 2020. But 20th Television is still is shopping the project to other streamers, now that Claire Danes and Dakota Fanning are attached to play Clinton at different stages of her life. In the package, Treem will write and executive produce, and James Ponsoldt will direct, with “Handmaid’s Tale” producer Warren Littlefield’s Littlefield Co. behind it.
The news of the shuffle for Rodham comes a few days before the TV industry gathers in New York from May 16-19 for the ritual of upfront presentations from the major content players.
Even Hollywood executives literally do not want to see Hillary Clinton elected President.
Hillary Clinton was one of the most unpopular Presidential candidates of all time.
That’s why she fell flat on her face in her two previous runs for the White House.
And even Hollywood appears to have given up on trying to rehabilitate her image ahead of a potential 2024 Presidential campaign.
