Dr. Oz made one giant announcement about running for Senate in 2022
The number of Republicans seeking office next year continues to grow.
A TV celebrity has made their decision about their potential candidacy.
And Dr. Oz made one giant announcement about running for Senate in 2022.
Dr. Oz came to prominence in 2009 when Oprah featured Dr. Oz on her show and her production company began to produce his syndicated television program.
Now Dr. Oz is a candidate for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Oz announced his intention to enter the GOP primary to replace retiring incumbent Pat Toomey with an announcement video that focused on Dr. Oz’s life story and medical background.
I’m running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania because America needs a Conservative Republican to cure what’s wrong with Washington. I’m a world-class surgeon, fighter, and health care advocate stepping forward to cure our country’s ills. Watch my announcement video now! pic.twitter.com/yLhKsZm9sl

In the announcement video, Dr. Oz defined his candidacy as running against the medical establishment.
During the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Oz promoted hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for the virus.
That earned Dr. Oz the scorn of members of the corporate media and the TV doctors that appeared on their networks.
The race for the GOP nomination in Pennsylvania is wide open.
Donald Trump endorsed former war hero Sean Parnell, who later dropped out of the race after a judge issued what critics believed was a politically motivated ruling granting Parnell’s ex-wife custody of the couple’s children.
In the past, Dr. Oz has described himself as a moderate Republican.
Many of his views on the issues remain a mystery.
Dr. Oz supported Donald Trump in the 2016 election and the rest of his stances on the issues facing Americans must be fleshed out over the course of the campaign.
