Dr. Fauci gave Donald Trump one ultimatum that will have you seeing red
Over the course of the coronavirus pandemic, Dr. Fauci has repeatedly undermined Donald Trump.
But in the final days of the 2020 election, Dr. Fauci crossed the line.
And Dr. Fauci gave Donald Trump one ultimatum that will have you seeing red.
The Trump campaign debuted a new ad about the administration’s response to the coronavirus.
Dr. Fauci was featured in the ad saying no one could be doing more.
Those comments referred to the administration’s coronavirus task force response and Dr. Fauci falsely claimed his words were being taken out of context.
In an interview with fake news CNN, Dr. Fauci eagerly leapt at the opportunity offered by host Jake Tapper to attack President Trump.
“I think so I think it’s really unfortunate and really disappointing that they did that. It’s so clear I’m not a political person. I have never either directly or directly endorsed a candidate. And to take a completely out of context statement and put it in which is obviously a political campaign ad, I thought was really very disappointing,” Dr. Fauci stated.
Tapper told Fauci that the Trump campaign planned another ad featuring Fauci and Fauci threatened Trump that the ad would “backfire” if the campaign went through with it.
“That would be terrible. That would be outrageous if they do that. In fact, that might actually come to backfire on them. I hope they don’t do that. That would be kind of playing a game that we don’t want to play. I hope they reconsider that if, in fact, they are indeed considering doing that. I hope they reconsider and not do that,” Dr. Fauci added.
In a later interview Dr. Fauci said backfire meant Americans voting for Joe Biden to punish the President for accurately quoting Dr. Fauci in a campaign commercial.
This is about as close to an endorsement as Dr. Fauci is willing to give for Joe Biden.
