Donald Trump presented Democrats with an ultimatum that they fear the most

Donald Trump is trying to pull America through a series of crises on multiple fronts.

Democrats are hoping the pandemic, civil unrest, and high unemployment will sink the President’s re-election bid.

But Donald Trump presented Democrats with an ultimatum that they fear the most.

Donald Trump declared his number one priority is getting America’s schools open in the fall.

If schools aren’t open, parents can’t go back to work and the economy can’t function.

To help facilitate school districts opening in the fall, the President hosted a White House roundtable on how states could best manage getting children back in the classrooms.

But the President warned Democrats that he would not tolerate blue states playing political games and hoping to shutter the economy by closing schools because they think it will help their chances in November.

“We hope that most schools are going to be open,” President Trump stated, “and we don’t want people to make political statements or do it for political reasons. They think it’s going to be good for them politically so they keep the schools closed. No way.”

President Trump also said “we’re very much going to put pressure on governors and everybody else to open the schools,” telling the attendees that it was “very important for the well-being of the student and parents” that children be in school.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said the administration was looking at withholding federal funds from schools that refused to reopen for the new school year.

The Trump administration is not promoting a risky scheme that will inflame the coronavirus pandemic.

The American Association of Pediatrics released a report saying that schools should be open in the fall citing the minimal risk to kids from the virus, the scant evidence that kids spread the virus to adults and the harm caused by children being out of school for long periods of time.

Democrats always demand President Trump “listen to the experts” and “follow the science.”

In the case of schools, the experts and the science say they should be open.
