Donald Trump just shut down George W. Bush with this one brutal truth

George W. Bush is back in the headlines.

At a September 11 anniversary event the former President crossed a line.

But Donald Trump just shut down George W. Bush with this one brutal truth.

During a 9/11 event in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the heroic stand Flight 93 passengers made to thwart Al Qaeda terrorists’ plan to ram their flight into the U.S. Capitol, former President Bush equated Trump supporters with the 9/11 hijackers claiming that “violent extremists” in America posed an equal threat to Islamic terrorists.

“We have seen growing evidence that the dangers to our country can come not only across borders. But from violence that gathers within. There’s little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home. But in their disdain for pluralism. In their disregard for human life. In their determination to defile national symbols. They are children of the same foul spirit and it is our continuing duty to confront them,” Bush declared.

Donald Trump responded slamming Bush in a statement for overseeing a failed administration that routinely betrayed Conservatives.

So interesting to watch former President Bush, who is responsible for getting us into the quicksand of the Middle East (and then not winning!), as he lectures us that terrorists on the ‘right’ are a bigger problem than those from foreign countries that hate America, and that are pouring into our Country right now,” Trump’s statement read.

Trump added that the 9/11 attacks happened on Bush’s watch and that Bush should not lecture anyone on keeping the country safe.

“The World Trade Center came down during his watch. Bush led a failed and uninspiring presidency. He shouldn’t be lecturing anybody!” Trump concluded.

Since the events of January 6, the Biden administration and the media have sought to portray the 74,000,000 Trump voters as insurrectionists and white supremacists.

Former President Bush boosted that effort by allowing the left to claim that even a former Republican President thinks Trump voters are just as dangerous as Al Qaeda hijackers and that a new domestic war on terror targeted at Trump voters is necessary.

One reason Donald Trump maintains the loyalty of his base is because he stands up for his supporters.

Trump reminding George W. Bush that Bush failed as President and that he shouldn’t dog pile on Republican voters is one example of Trump defending his supporters from attacks by the political establishment.
