Donald Trump just got the news about a coronavirus cure that he was waiting for
The coronavirus is the number one issue in the 2020 election.
Democrats want to convince the American people that President Trump failed to manage the outbreak.
But Donald Trump just got the news about a coronavirus cure that he was waiting for.
The Trump administration instituted “Operation Warp Speed” to accelerate the development of a vaccine.
The average vaccine takes years to get to market, but the Trump administration removed financial and regulatory hurdles that will allow Americans access to a safe and effective vaccine in record time.
During a press briefing a Trump administration official confidently predicted this program would bear fruit.
“We feel very confident by the year end we will have tens of millions of vaccines to put into American arms,” the official told reporters “We will begin phase three clinical trials over the next couple of weeks with at least one and probably two [vaccine] candidates.”
The Trump administration official added that the current hotspots in Texas, Florida, and Arizona would make the critical phase three trials easier to conduct.
“We need 30,000 persons in each of these clinical trials and we need to conduct the clinical trials in areas where there are outbreaks. The current outbreaks might help us get a vaccine faster than if we had no outbreaks in the United States right now,” the official added.
Following this briefing, more good news poured in as Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine candidate produced immune system response – which is what an effective vaccine does – in all 45 of the initial test subjects.
And that means the Trump administration is on track to delivering a vaccine that will finally get this pandemic under control.
That news – when it comes this fall – could reshuffle the Presidential Election.
