Donald Trump is under pressure to pick this woman as his running mate

No one is even pretending the GOP primary is a competitive race.

The focus now is on how Donald Trump will round out the ticket.

And Donald Trump is under pressure to pick this woman as his running mate.

GOP elites clearly want RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as Vice President.

Establishment Republicans claim picking Haley would soothe any wounds from the primary, open the door to her big-money donors, and help Trump win female voters.

But picking Haley would also destroy the Trump movement and put the Liz Cheney and Mitch McConnell wing of the party back in charge.

Former President Donald Trump won in 2016 campaigning on bringing the troops home from endless wars.

He signed the deal to end the war in Afghanistan only to see President Joe Biden botch the withdrawal.

Haley ran for President and made clear her number one area of disagreement with Trump was on foreign policy.

She supports Biden’s blank check for Ukraine while also supporting letting businesses import unlimited numbers of immigrants into America.

The Ukraine border is far more important to Haley than the American border.

That’s why when Donald Trump Jr. spoke at the same Des Moines, Iowa, caucus site as Haley, he tore into her as the keeper of the establishment flame on foreign policy.

“Nikki Haley wants to be in every war the world has to offer,” Trump Jr. declared, telling attendees that Donald Trump won’t send the “next generation to die in yet another never-ending war.”

If Trump picks Haley as Vice President, it could also entice Senate Republicans to support the next Democrat impeachment to get rid of him so she can call the shots as President.

“Nikki Haley as VP would be an establishment neocon fantasy and a MAGA nightmare,” Gaetz told POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin. “On Day One she would convert the Naval Observatory into an anti-Trump, resistance headquarters, undermining him at every step.”

From the get-go in 2016, the friction between Trump and the GOP establishment existed largely over the foreign policy that the Bush family shaped when it ran the party from 1988 to 2016.

The original Never Trumpers were all foreign policy hands that largely agreed with the Democrats on cultural issues but stuck around the GOP because it was where their war-mongering took hold.

But Trump showed the voters were with the America First agenda and the Never Trumpers eventually found a much more comfortable home in the Democrat Party where they no longer had to pretend like they cared about defending the Second Amendment or protecting life.

Picking Nikki Haley as Vice President would provide the excuse for the GOP establishment to do what they desperately want to do – excommunicate Trump from the party through impeachment and install an establishment loyalist like Haley as President.
