Donald Trump is going to hate what Megyn Kelly said about the new Pope

The Catholic Church has its new Pope.
Unsurprisingly, he has a history with President Trump.
And Donald Trump is going to hate what Megyn Kelly said about the new Pope.
Megyn Kelly defends the new Pope
Pope Leo XIV is the new head of the Catholic Church.
Leo’s selection made history as he is the first American Pope.
And Leo also had an active X account prior to his ascension to Pope.
It didn’t take long for the media to discover that Pope Leo was no fan of Donald Trump.
Among his anti-Trump posts was one he shared that smeared Trump as a racist for calling illegal alien criminals “bad hombres.”
The new Pope @drprevost supports illegal aliens and open borders.
He retweeted tweets in support of “dreamers” aka illegals and attacked President Trump’s use of the phrase “bad hombres” to describe violent illegal aliens. He thinks it’s a “racist” phrase. pic.twitter.com/UzbRtcxHhw

American Catholics were worried the Church picked another pro-open borders globalist to succeed Francis, who recently called the election between Trump and Kamala Harris a choice between lesser evils because Kamala supported abortion and while Trump opposes mass migration.
Megyn Kelly saw things differently.
Kelly told guest Link Lauren that the Pope’s support for mass migration was in line with traditional Church teaching and that any Pope would have similar views about Trump’s opposition to illegal immigration.
“I think there’s not going to be a pope who’s not pro-mass migration. It’s Catholicism. I mean, that’s Catholic. They’re very pro-migrant, you know, wash the feet of the poor and the hungry and those who need us. And, you, know, we’re a bunch of bleeding hearts at, you know, bottom. Unless if you’re trans or gay, in which case, no, sorry, Link, they love gays and lesbians. They just don’t want them to get married,” Kelly declared.
Kelly points to new Pope’s past gender statements
Kelly also noted that Leo made strong statements in the past opposing transgenderism for children.
Megyn Kelly is a practicing Catholic.
Kelly admitted the Catholic Church’s stance on mass migration wasn’t her favorite aspect of the Church’s teachings, but that she was excited there was an American Pope and was willing to keep an open mind about Leo going forward.
“So It’s great to see an American pope. And I actually am open-minded to this pope, notwithstanding those tweets,” Kelly continued. “I really think even a conservative-leaning pope could have sent out those tweets because I’m sorry, the Catholic Church is very pro immigration. It’s not my favorite thing, but it’s the truth.”
Pope Francis was a leftist who was looking to modernize the Church.
Many Catholics saw Francis’ constant harping about climate change and mass migration as evidence that what Francis meant by modernizing the Church was to try to appeal to the political Left.
