Donald Trump got some news about his lawyer that he won’t like one bit
Federal prosecutors are twisting the screws on Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen.
Cohen’s home and office were raided by the FBI as part of the swamp’s attack on Trump.
The latest developments in the case do not look good for the President.
Word has leaked out that Cohen has changed his legal team and is preparing to cooperate with prosecutors.
ABC News reports:
“Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s longtime confidant and former personal attorney, is likely to cooperate with federal investigators, as his lawyers are expected to leave the case, sources said.
To date, Cohen has been represented by Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the Washington and New York firm, McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, but a source representing this matter has disclosed to ABC News that they are not expected to represent him going forward. Ryan declined to comment.
A source familiar with the matter tells ABC News that among the reasons for Cohen’s change in counsel is a fee dispute.”
Investigators are digging through Cohen’s financial records for information about his payments to women who allegedly had an affair with the President as well as media entities like the National Enquirer who paid for their stories.
The “resistance” is hoping with all their might that prosecutors discover evidence Trump was in on the scheme and can be charged with a campaign finance violation.
Democrats and anti-Trump journalists will not get another shot at the President.
Since Robert Mueller’s Russian collusion and obstruction of justice investigations have collapsed, this is the last real chance they have to nail Trump.
