Donald Trump gave Pete Hegseth one order to have the military seize this key piece of land

President Trump isn’t messing around with getting his agenda into place.
Trump’s opponents had no idea what hit them.
And Donald Trump gave Pete Hegseth one order to have the military seize this key piece of land.
President Trump sent a memo to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins instructing them to allow the Department of Defense to take control of federal lands along the southern borer, including a 60-foot strip of land known as the Roosevelt Reservation.
Trump informed his cabinet secretaries that America was under threat of incursion from cartels and transnational terrorist gangs so the military needed to play their proper role to defend American sovereignty.
“The southern border is under attack from a variety of threats,” Trump wrote. “The complexity of the current situation requires that our military take a more direct role in securing our southern border than in the recent past.”
President Trump’s memo went on to say that the military needed to take control of this federal land for the purposes of constructing the border wall and detention facilities.
“The memo states that the Defense Department should be provided jurisdiction over lands including the Roosevelt Reservation – a 60-foot-wide swath of land along the border – for military purposes including border wall construction and installing detection and monitoring equipment. The memo excludes Federal Indian Reservations,” CNN reported.
The memo instructed Secretary Burgrum that his department “may make withdrawals, reservations, and restrictions of public lands to provide for the utilization of public lands by the Department of Defense.”
The military is now authorized to arrest and detain for trespassing any illegal aliens caught trying to sneak into the country through lands until Homeland Security can collect them for processing and deportation.
“Migrants who cross in this area would be put into “holding” for trespassing onto a military property, CNN previously reported, until the Department of Homeland Security could arrive to pick them up and deport them — putting the military in the position of effectively detaining migrants, something that is traditionally a law enforcement function,” CNN also reported.
Border crossings are down over 95 percent since President Trump took office.
Open borders was clearly a policy choice by Joe Biden.
It was one mistake President Trump corrected overnight.
President Trump knows the American people handed him a mandate to secure the border.
And the President wants to make sure that every tool at the governments disposal is put to use to secure the border.
That includes the military.
Joe Biden allowed hundreds of suspects on the terrorist watch list to infiltrate America through the wide open southern border.
Border security is national security and President Trump is ordering the military to play its proper role in protecting America from incursion.
