Donald Trump exposed one big lie about the media’s immigration coverage
The media has been spreading one vicious lie about Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
Liberal journalists have used this fake news to try and destroy the President.
But with one stroke of his pen, Trump exposed the media’s biggest lie.
Trump signed an executive order allowing children to be detained with their parents while they await their immigration hearing.
The Trump administration had done what no other administration had done and enforced America’s immigration laws.
That meant prosecuting every adult for an illegal border crossing.
Since there is no crime that allows you to bring your children to jail with you, illegal alien children were transferred to holding centers.
The Trump administration correctly stated that this was being done because their hands were tied.
A 1997 court case produced the Flores decree which stated children could not be held in immigration facilities longer than 20 days.
In 2015, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals held that this also applied to parents bringing children with them.
This led to the Obama policy of catch and release where illegal aliens are released into America after being given a court date for a deportation hearing.
The Trump administration said that because of the Flores decision, the administration had no choice but to separate families unless Congress changed the law.
Journalists falsely claimed it was Trump’s own decision to separate families.
But once Trump signed his new executive order, The New York Times admitted Trump was right all along and that his new executive order to keep families together while they await their deportation hearing is because the current law forbids it:
Mr. Trump’s executive order would seek to get around an existing 1997 consent decree, known as the Flores settlement, that prohibits the federal government from keeping children in immigration detention — even if they are with their parents — for more than 20 days.
After the fight was over, The Times flat out admitted they – and the rest of the liberal media – spent a week smearing the Trump administration with lies.
