DHS Dragged Into the Open Biden’s Nightmare Scandal That Will Have Democrats Scrambling

The Biden-Harris administration thought they could hide their failures forever.

They figured nobody would dig deep enough to uncover the truth.

But DHS just dragged into the open Biden’s nightmare scandal that will have Democrats scrambling.

Trump’s Border Team Uncovers Horrific Child Abuse Under Biden

President Donald Trump promised on the campaign trail that he’d clean up the mess the Biden-Harris administration left behind at the border.

What his Department of Homeland Security discovered makes even the most hardened law enforcement officers sick to their stomachs.

In February 2025, Trump’s DHS team launched a nationwide effort to track down vulnerable children and verify their safety.

The results? Absolutely devastating.

Federal agents uncovered sponsors who possessed illegal child abuse material, forced kids into labor, and subjected them to neglectful living conditions.

That’s not even the worst part.

In the worst cases, fake family members sexually abused the young girls placed in their care and got them pregnant.

Think about that for a second.

The Biden administration handed over vulnerable children to predators who then sexually abused them.

These weren’t random criminals off the street.

These were people the government was supposed to vet.

Biden Officials Ignored 65,000 Warning Signs

Here’s where this story gets even more infuriating.

It turns out Biden’s team knew there were problems all along.

"[Office of Refugee Resettlement] is digging through nearly 65,000 reports of concern about unaccompanied alien children — most ignored, many dismissed — each one a missed chance to protect a child," the Department of Health and Human Services said in a recent statement.¹

You read that right.

Sixty-five thousand reports about children in danger.

Most of them were just ignored.

"This isn’t just paperwork. This is a systemic failure of the Biden administration. It is children’s lives put at risk."

ICE spokesperson Laszlo Baksay didn’t mince words about what happened.

"The previous administration’s failure to implement meaningful safeguards has allowed vulnerable kids to fall into the hands of criminals. Our special agents are working tirelessly to locate these alien children, ensure their protection, and hold accountable those who have abused the system."

Some of the sponsors had criminal records that would make your blood run cold.

Officials also traced the records of sponsors previously convicted of serious crimes ranging from hit-and-runs and attempted murder to prostitution and drug trafficking.

The Numbers Tell a Horrifying Story

The scope of this disaster is staggering.

More than 291,000 unaccompanied children had not been placed into removal proceedings because ICE had not served them notices to appear or scheduled a court date for them.

Let that sink in.

Nearly 300,000 children and the government has no idea where they are or what happened to them.

Biden’s Health and Human Services Department couldn’t even provide law enforcement with proper addresses for more than 31,000 children. Without accurate addresses, agents can’t track down these kids.

It gets worse.

When HHS did provide addresses, law enforcement found that four out of five were completely wrong.

Translation: The Biden administration was basically operating blind.

They had no clue who these kids were going to live with or where they’d end up.

During the Biden years, more than 24,000 kids were handed over to people who weren’t even family members.

That’s 24,000 kids handed over to virtual strangers.

Border Patrol Chief Reveals Biden’s Cover-Up

Former Border Patrol Chief Chris Clem worked on the frontlines of this crisis.

He confirms what many suspected all along – the Biden administration knew there were problems but chose to look the other way.

"We knew from a law enforcement perspective, our job was to do the immediate safety check, and then we had to process the kids and place them in custody of Office of Refugee [Resettlement]. Now, what happened from there, we didn’t have specifics, but we knew … it was government. … We knew there [were] probably problems — the vetting and being able to ask questions to the kids was never something we were really allowed to do."

Think about that.

Border Patrol agents weren’t even allowed to ask basic questions to protect these children.

The Biden administration tied their hands and then acted shocked when things went horribly wrong.

"Regardless of the ideologues that are out there, accounting for these children is critical."

Democrats’ Assembly Line Approach to Child Welfare

The most damning evidence comes from reports about Biden’s own Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra.

According to a New York Times report, Becerra made shocking comments in the summer of 2022 about how his department was handling vulnerable children.

"If Henry Ford had seen this in his plants, he would have never became famous and rich. This is not the way you do an assembly line," the secretary was quoted as saying.²

Becerra compared protecting vulnerable children to running a factory assembly line.

That tells you everything you need to know about how the Biden administration viewed these kids.

Not as human beings deserving protection.

As widgets on a conveyor belt to be processed as quickly as possible.

According to reports, Becerra pushed his staff to release unaccompanied children to sponsors quicker, with less emphasis on preventing kids from falling into unsafe situations.²

Speed over safety.

That was the Biden administration’s motto when it came to migrant children.

Trump’s Team Takes Action While Democrats Make Excuses

The contrast couldn’t be more stark.

While the Biden administration ignored 65,000 warning signs, President Trump’s team is taking decisive action.

"Our agents are doing what should’ve been done all along: protecting children, not pushing them into the shadows," Baksay said.

ICE agents are now conducting thorough welfare checks on every child they can locate.

Law enforcement agents from the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Homeland Security Investigations have been given a list of questions to ask the minors and their sponsors during the welfare checks.

These aren’t just casual visits.

Agents are asking tough questions about who sponsored the child, whether money changed hands, and whether the sponsor has a criminal record.

Authorities are also asking the sponsor if the minor is working to pay off the cost of smuggling them into the country.

That’s called doing your job.

Something the Biden administration apparently forgot how to do.

The Real Numbers Behind Biden’s Border Disaster

Here’s what the Biden administration doesn’t want you to know about the scope of this crisis.

The numbers paint a horrifying picture.

Since Biden took office in January 2021, over 8 million migrants crossed our southern border. Border officials released more than 400,000 children to live with sponsors who were supposed to be properly screened.

Four hundred thousand children.

And "vetted" is a generous term considering what we now know about the Biden administration’s screening process.

By early 2023, Biden’s team had completely lost track of at least 85,000 children according to the New York Times.

One-third of migrant children just disappeared.

The Biden administration had no idea where they went or what happened to them.

Some ended up in the hands of criminals.

Others were forced into labor.

The worst cases involve children who were sexually abused by the very people who were supposed to protect them.

Congressional Republicans Demand Answers

Senator Chuck Grassley has been sounding the alarm about this crisis for years.

Grassley repeatedly warned that the Biden-Harris UAC program’s inadequate safeguards, lax vetting procedures and limited inter-agency communication allowed children to be lost or released to dangerous adult sponsors.

House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark Green subpoenaed HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra for answers.

Green claimed that after the committee requested documentation regarding UACs, the Department of Health and Human Services delivered 700 documents "wholly unresponsive" to the committee’s request.

In other words, they’re still trying to cover it up.

Even after being caught red-handed, Biden’s team is stonewalling Congress.

The Trump administration has made it clear this ends now.

"The Trump administration WILL NOT look away. The system may have failed before, but not on our watch."

That’s the difference between real leadership and the disaster we just lived through for four years.

President Trump’s team is actually doing the work to protect vulnerable children instead of treating them like assembly line products.

And Democrats?

They’re scrambling to explain how they let nearly 300,000 children disappear on their watch.
