Democrats privately admitted one jaw-dropping truth
Donald Trump would always say the Democrats stuck together in a fight.
But now all hell may be about to break loose.
And that’s because Democrats privately admitted one jaw-dropping truth.
Punch Bowl News commissions a weekly survey of both Republican and Democrat Capitol Hill staffers.
The poll is anonymous, but it gives an insight into the thinking of the people who oftentimes make Congress functions.
And right now, staffers in both parties believe Republicans will claim control of the House of Representatives next November, as 78 percent of Hill staffers feel Americans will sweep out the Democrat majority.
Even 57 percent of Democrat House and Senate aides think Nancy Pelosi’s majority is doomed.
Seventy-eight percent of senior Capitol Hill aides believe Republicans will regain the House in 2022, up 12 percent from April, according to a poll released Monday.
The Punchbowl News poll also included responses by party, which showed 57 percent of Democrat Hill staffers believe Republicans will regain control.
Additionally, 99 percent of the Republicans on the Hill believe their party will regain control of the House, ending House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) short four-year reign of trying to push through her radical, one-sided agenda.
Historically, the party in power flips well over 20 seats in a midterm election.
Republicans only need a net gain of five to take back control of the House of Representatives.
That reality – as well as the fact that Republican legislatures control the ability to draw the maps for over 180 Congressional Districts while Democrats wield that power over around 90 – is why many on Capitol Hill think the cake is baked in 2022.
