Democrats just confirmed Tucker Carlson’s greatest fear with this scary plan

Tucker Carlson warned Americans this would happen.

The corporate-controlled media called Carlson a conspiracy theorist.

But now Democrats just confirmed Tucker Carlson’s greatest fear with this scary plan.

A deranged racist gunman allegedly killed 10 people in a Buffalo supermarket.

Leftists seized on the tragedy for political gain.

During his show on Monday, Tucker Carlson warned viewers that Democrats and the left-wing press would exploit the fact that the shooter posted an insane manifesto online as the new reason to censor conservative political speech on the internet.

“So, because a mentally ill teenager murdered strangers, you cannot be allowed to express your political views out loud,” Carlson stated. “That’s what they are telling you. That’s what they’ve wanted to tell you for a long time, but Saturday’s massacre gives them a pretext, a justification.”

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand proved Carlson correct.

In an appearance on MSNBC, Gillibrand called for the government to regulate so-called “misinformation” online.

“The problem is, you have a mentally ill 18-year-old who had this kind of ideation, who falls into rabbit holes within our social media platforms that aren’t regulated and have no basis, in terms,” Gillibrand began.

Host Katy Tur then falsely claimed that the conspiracy theories the alleged shooter immersed himself in were now mainstream talking points in the GOP thanks to Tucker Carlson.

Gillibrand readily agreed with that lie, tying the shooting to the 2017 tragedy in Charlottesville as well as the events of January 6.

“It’s about misinformation. It’s about radicalizing someone as young as 18 years old to such a degree that he has so much hate in his heart that he wants to go out and kill black people, that he targets a whole community, that he drives over 200 miles to commit those murders. What did he see in his lifetime — his very short lifetime that would make him so hateful? Well, we had a President, when he was 15 years old, that stood on a national stage after Charlottesville and said, good people on both sides. … So, we have messages streaming out from Republicans in power today that what happened on January 6 was okay,” Gillibrand added.

When Tur asked if there was any free speech implication in this new call to regulate speech online, Gillibrand dismissed the idea that the Constitution still mattered in America.

Instead, Gillibrand falsely claimed that you can’t yell fire in a crowded theater – the Supreme Court case where this famous line came from upheld free speech protections – and also wrongly claimed misinformation was not protected under the First Amendment.

“You don’t have to regulate speech, you can regulate misinformation. You could say, you can’t yell ‘Fire!’ in a theater. You can — there [are] many ways you can abrogate speech rights that are consistent with the Constitution. And for, again, an 18-year-old to develop such hatred in his heart through media platforms that do not have any regulation is a problem. And so, we need common sense, thoughtful regulation. We need a data protection agency that keeps our data private, that can create frameworks where this makes sense,” Gillibrand stated.

Censoring political speech is the new animating principle at the heart of the Democrat Party’s agenda.

And they could not wait five minutes before pouncing on the tragedy in Buffalo to demand new laws to silence their political opponents.
