CNN is worried Chuck Schumer will lose his job because of this health emergency
Chuck Schumer holds the narrowest possible majority in the United States Senate.
But Democrat control of the Senate is now seriously in doubt.
And CNN is worried Chuck Schumer will lose his job because of this health emergency.
Control of the United States Senate could come down to which Party wins the race in Pennsylvania.
To that end, Democrats have a problem.
Democrat candidate John Fetterman suffered a stroke back in May and is so enfeebled that his campaign will not allow him to speak or stand on his feet for longer than 10 minutes.
Even then, Fetterman still struggles to remember the right words and talks in gibberish.
Fetterman has only made two or three appearances on the campaign trail and his staff refuses to let him debate his Republican opponent Dr. Oz.
This disappearing act even bothered CNN.
Analyst Michael Smerconish – who is a radio talk show host in Pennsylvania – said he did not think Fetterman could win the election hiding from the public.
“In the end, I don’t think he can win the campaign — Fetterman — by simply running an organized social media or paid media campaign,” Smerconish stated.
“He’s really been shielded from the media thus far,” Smerconish added.
“One of the interviews that he did was with closed captioning,” Smerconish. “He’s done two public events: he spoke for about 10 minutes at one of them and four minutes at another. So, you know, people rightfully, I think, want to know how he’s doing.”
Fetterman released a statement where he whined about Dr. Oz pointing out the simple fact that he is an invalid.
“I’m eager to put my record and my values up against Dr. Oz’s any day of the week,” Fetterman began. “As I recover from this stroke and improve my auditory processing and speech, I look forward to continuing to meet with the people of Pennsylvania.”
Fetteman cried that Dr. Oz “made it abundantly clear that they think it is funny to mock a stroke survivor.”
“My recovery may be a joke to Dr. Oz and his team, but it’s real for me,” Fetterman concluded.
Dr. Oz’s campaign fired right back.
Communications Director Brittany Yanick slammed Fetterman as “a liar, a liberal, and a coward.”
“Ok, so when will he debate?” Yarnick asked. “He won’t ever say — not even in his latest whiny statement.”
