Democrats count on the media to carry their water.

But sometimes, even the press can’t help but tell the truth.

And CNN broke some bad news that will leave Democrats down in the dumps.

No signs of Trump voters having buyer’s remorse

One of the memes the media likes to push is the idea that Trump supporters regret their vote.

“Seven weeks in, more Trump voters start to feel buyer’s remorse,” the headline of a blog post by MSNBC’s Steve Benen read.

“Focus group: Trump swing voters in Michigan have buyers’ remorse,” a March 14 story in Axios was headlined.

Late night comic Stephen Colbert lampooned Trump supporters supposedly lamenting their vote telling them they got what they deserved.

“They ordered the turd soup and then said, ‘Waiter, there’s turds in my soup.’ Then they came back four years later and asked, ‘Y’all still have that turd soup?’” Colbert exclaimed.

But is there actually any evidence to support the idea of buyer’s remorse among Trump supporters?

CNN Data Analyst Harry Enten sought to answer that question.

“I hear all these stories, all these articles, all the Trump voters, they regret what they did back in 2024. I’m here to tell you, uh-uh. Very few of them regret what they did back in 2024,” Enten said on the air.

Enten dug through the numbers and came to one inescapable answer.

No.

Enten said if the re-election between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump got rerun today the outcome wouldn’t be any different.

“If folks got to be able to redo their vote that they had back in 2024, would the result be any different? I doubt it would be. I doubt if would be or it would still be extremely close. The bottom line is for all this talk of Trump voters regretting their vote in the numbers, it really just doesn’t show up,” Enten added.

Enten pointed to a YouGuv poll showing less than five percent of Trump supporters would change their decision.

Two percent would pick a different candidate and one percent wouldn’t vote.

These numbers were better than the ones for Trump in 2017 when four percent of Trump voters said they would cast their ballot for a different candidate if given the chance.

Enten said this should put to rest the idea that there is a large number of regretful Trump voters out in America.

“The bottom line is this, if there’s some idea out there that Trump voters are going around, [saying] ‘man, I wish I had voted for Kamala Harris instead of Donald Trump,’” Enten concluded. “The numbers say that is a fanciful universe. It really, for the most part, does not exist.”

Multiple polls show Democrats with approval ratings in the 20s.

Democrats don’t want to deport any illegal aliens as evidenced by the party mobilizing around the cause of an El Salvadoran illegal alien gang member deported to his home country.

Democrats keep fighting for biological men to play women’s sports.

And Democrats caused the inflation crisis.

Democrats aren’t providing a viable alternative, which is also showing up in these poll numbers.
