CNN asked Jen Psaki this one question that she never saw coming

Jen Psaki and the Biden administration are used to fawning coverage from corporate-controlled media outlets like CNN.

But then something changed.

And CNN asked Jen Psaki this one question that she never saw coming.

Gas prices continue to rise on Joe Biden’s watch.

Biden falsely claimed this was the sole fault of Russian President Vladimir Putin ordering an invasion of Ukraine.

But Biden knows high gas prices are a political death knell.

That’s why he promised the American people that he was “going to do everything I can to minimize Putin’s price hike here at home.”

However, hours later, Biden washed his hands of high gas prices, once again falsely claiming Russia was only to blame.

“Can’t do much right now. Russia is responsible,” Biden told reporters.

CNN White House correspondent MJ Lee asked Jen Psaki why Biden gave contradictory answers on if there was anything he could do to lower gas prices.

Psaki claimed Biden was unable to concisely answer questions when reporters ask him quick questions.

“Well, I would say that the short gaggles when the President is getting off the plane and getting into a car are not always super comprehensive, as I think many of you have experienced. They’re not always extensive,” Psaki added.

Psaki then fell back on the Biden administration’s plan to reward Russia’s allies in Iran and Venezuela by lifting sanctions on their oil production while still preventing the American energy industry from ramping up supply.

“But what the President said yesterday in his lengthy remarks before his trip and what we have said many times is that there are a range of steps that we will continue to take, including coordinating with the global community about ensuring the supply in the marketplace meets the demand. That includes the release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve that he announced a second one just a few weeks ago. That includes continuing to work and coordinate with global oil suppliers around the world, something that his national security team and he is engaged in, on a nearly daily basis. And that includes considering a range of domestic options,” Psaki added.

“But the oil markets — oil markets are global. Right? And it is all about meeting the supply demands that are out there. And clearly, given the invasion and given the impact of that, we need to look at a range of options, but we’ve already taken a number of steps and we will continue to. And he said that all yesterday morning on the same day,” Psaki concluded.

What Joe Biden will not do is issue new oil drilling leases in America.

Joe Biden also won’t authorize construction on the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Psaki and Joe Biden falsely claim increasing the American supply of energy will not lower prices.

But if that is the case, why does Joe Biden believe increasing the supply of Iranian and Venezuelan oil will lower prices?
