Chuck Schumer told this terrible lie that will leave you red with rage
Chuck Schumer knows he has to defend Joe Biden at all costs.
Schumer’s job security as Senate Majority Leader depends on Biden remaining politically viable.
But Chuck Schumer told this terrible lie that will leave you red with rage.
Joe Biden’s bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan dominated the headlines in August as the American people recoiled from Biden’s incompetent planning and execution of ending the war in Afghanistan.
Biden claimed it was not inevitable that the Taliban would take over Afghanistan yet the radical Islamic group conquered the country in 11 days.
To make matters worse, Biden’s haphazard planning led to hundreds of Americans remaining stranded in Afghanistan behind Taliban lines.
However, in an interview with a local TV affiliate, Schumer claimed all Americans who wanted to leave Afghanistan were able to do so.
“You know, I can’t predict that,” Schumer responded when asked about how the disaster in Afghanistan would affect the 2022 midterms. “I will say there will be a job for congressional oversight. There always is.”
But then Schumer descended into gaslighting and falsehoods trying to claim Joe Biden succeeded in evacuating all Americans that wanted to leave.
“But at the moment, actually, I’m still focused on trying to get some of those brave Afghans out,” Schumer added. “The Americans, all of whom wanted to come out have come out, praise God. But there are a lot of Afghans who risked their lives for our soldiers and others. Many got out, some didn’t, and I’m still working on trying to get some of them out.”
That is not true.
Even the Biden administration admitted at least 100 Americans were still left behind.
And the Taliban is blocking planes from taking off that could evacuate Americans until their hostage demands are met.
Afghanistan proved to be a breaking point for Joe Biden’s Presidency.
It’s not surprising that Chuck Schumer would want to deflect blame from Joe Biden for this fiasco.
But Schumer is living in an alternate reality by claiming all Americans who wanted to get out of Afghanistan were evacuated.
