Chuck Schumer heard four words that turned him into a nervous wreck
It’s going from bad to worse for Democrats running for office this November.
But it’s all Joe Biden’s fault.
And Chuck Schumer heard four words that turned him into a nervous wreck.
Republicans only need to flip one seat in the United States Senate to win back the majority.
Joe Biden made that task easier by announcing plans to lift Title 42, which Donald Trump imposed to allow swift rejection of asylum seekers at the southern border during the pandemic.
The Border Patrol projects this could lead to between 500,000 and 600,000 illegal aliens each month attempting to invade America.
Even liberal election forecasters are warning Democrats about how Joe Biden keeps making their situation worse.
University of Virginia Center for Politics Director Larry Sabato told Fox News that “Democrats are in bad shape” this fall, and that Joe Biden opening the border to a stampede of illegal aliens will only make matters worse.
“Democrats are in bad shape — some would say terrible shape — for the midterm elections,” Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, told Fox News Digital. “The Title 42 controversy does nothing to help them and probably makes the outlook worse for Democrats.”
Sabato cited the number of swing-seat Democrats who are bailing on Biden over lifting Title 42 and opening the border.
“The dead giveaway is that moderate and endangered Democrats in Congress are raising hell and defecting from the Biden administration’s plans,” Sabato added.
Democrats running for Senate in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Wisconsin – the seats that will determine which Party wins a Senate majority in November – all spoke out against Biden ending Title 42.
“We should not end Title 42 until we have a detailed plan in place,” Pennsylvania Lt. Governor Gary Fetterman told POLITICO. “And look, we don’t only need a long-term and detailed plan here for ending Title 42, but we still need to fix our broken immigration system as a whole.”
Cheri Beasley is the likely Democrat nominee in North Carolina.
Beasley told POLITICO she “believes that it is not the right time to lift this policy, especially without a plan in place to deal with a potential influx in migrants.”
In Wisconsin – two of the top Democrat candidates, Wisconsin State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski and Milwaukee Bucks team executive Alex Lasry – both slammed the decision to lift Title 42.
“There needs to be a plan, and right now it doesn’t look like the administration has one. Until there is a plan, for the safety of our citizens and those seeking asylum, they should not lift it,” Godlewski declared.
“We must have an understanding of a comprehensive plan that will deal with an influx of asylum seekers before any changes to Title 42 are made,” Lasry stated.
Lifting Title 42 is a political debacle for the Democrats and could hand the Senate to Republicans.
And all you need to do is ask Democrats running for Senate in competitive races to find that out.
