Chuck Schumer drew one coronavirus line in the sand that he will live to regret
Democrats celebrate the coronavirus pandemic as a once in a lifetime opportunity to impose socialism on America.
But that came back to bite them.
And Chuck Schumer drew one coronavirus line in the sand that he will live to regret.
Democrats are already eyeing the next round of coronavirus relief legislation to pass wish list items like a massive voter fraud enabling “vote by mail” scheme.
Chuck Schumer laid down another marker when he demanded aspects of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s communist “Green New Deal” be a part of the next round of coronavirus relief.
“On infrastructure, we have a huge economic hole. We have to get out of it. I wouldn’t take anything off the table. I don’t know, you know, the size of infrastructure, or how — what type of infrastructure. I think it should be green. Should it be in COVID 4 or another bill? But to just take it off the table, when the economy’s hurting and infrastructure has been a time-tested way to get people back to work and get the economy going again, makes no sense. Mitch McConnell, stop drawing lines in the sand. Work with us. Get something done to help people.”
Americans got a taste of the “Green New Deal” in action over the last six weeks.
Carbon emissions declined as the economy shut down.
That led to 26 million Americans losing their jobs and the economy contracting by 4.8 percent in the first quarter.
Economists project that GDP will plummet by 30 percent in the second quarter because of the lockdowns.
Americans are realizing that policies to reduce carbon emissions come at the cost of massive economic disruption and devastation.
