Chris Wallace left Trey Gowdy speechless with one comment about the Supreme Court
On Monday, the Senate Judiciary Committee began confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett.
Fox News – along with every network except fake news CNN – covered the hearings.
And Chris Wallace left Trey Gowdy speechless with one comment about the Supreme Court.
Chris Wallace and former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy were part of Fox News Channel’s coverage of the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings.
During a break in the action, Chris Wallace unleashed the mother of all falsehoods by claiming the biggest factor in making Supreme Court confirmations a partisan rumble was Senate Republicans refusing to hold a hearing for Merrick Garland in 2016.

This was a whopper of epic proportions.
At every step of the way, it was the Democrat Party that escalated the politicization of the Supreme Court beginning with Ted Kennedy smearing Robert Bork as someone who wanted to make blacks sit at separate lunch counters from whites.
After Democrats successfully tanked Bork’s nomination, the Left tried to use Anita Hill and her false allegations of sexual harassment to destroy Clarence Thomas.
Even though that failed, Democrats tried to spring the false allegations of sexual assault trap against Brett Kavanaugh at the last minute during his confirmation hearings.
In 2016, all Republicans did was exercise their constitutional authority as a Senate majority to block Barack Obama’s nominee.
That is a far cry from the character assassination and politics of personal destruction that Democrats injected into Supreme Court confirmations beginning nearly four decades ago.
