The Broward County Sheriff couldn’t give a straight answer to this simple question

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel made a name for himself when he placed blame on the NRA for the Parkland shooting.

But new reports have revealed that multiple sheriff’s deputies failed to take down the shooter.

And when he was asked why they didn’t act, Israel was reduced to a stuttering mess.

Sheriff Israel became a darling of the anti-gun national media during CNN’s town hall after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy.

He was cheered loudly when he pointed fingers at NRA spokesman Dana Loesch.

But when it came time for him to face the music, Sheriff Israel wouldn’t take responsibility.

“I gave him a gun. I gave him a badge. I gave him the training. If he didn’t have the heart to go in, that’s not my responsibility.”

CNN thought they had the perfect person to gin up support for gun control – a law enforcement officer who sounded like a straight shooter.

But photos have surfaced of Sheriff Israel with failed presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

And now he has revealed himself as little more than an anti-gun opportunist.

Israel is NOT a man who should EVER be in power in this country! He’s only anti-gun when it comes to law-abiding American citizens! He actually went to a mosque to train Muslims about how to handle GUNS! One of his top deputies is a Muslim.

If firearm manufacturers are responsible for crimes committed with guns manufactured by them, then why isn’t Sheriff Scott responsible for crimes not stopped by the guns he issued? And why didn’t the governor step in? And where was Sheriff Scott hiding out during the entire tragedy? Sitting behind his desk munching on Dunkin’ Donuts with coffee?

I don’t want this guy to resign. I want him fired and humiliated. This guy should be made a example of what not to be in the law-enforcement. This guy is a total disgrace. Who in the hell put this guy in that position to start with. They should probably look into that guy cause he’s probably corrupt also.

If Sheriff Scott is correct, then he justifies the need for the Second Amendment of the US Constitution and the NRA because some governments (Broward County) in the US can’t protect it’s citizens from the deranged members of society who kill defenseless children and young adults

In that county, in fact, he did; there was a county policy entered into with the schools to give teen criminals a pass so the school and SO both would look good on paper for the low arrest rate. Miami-Dade to the south of Broward has the same deal with their schools. Seems they prevented EMS first responders from entering to render aid to the wounded as well.

  9. I guess the American people expect a better answer to the question. Don’t know how you would know what response your deputy would give. He certainly didn’t do what he was hired AND expected to do in such a situation. However his response is UNACCEPTABLE to the majority of Americans and he needs to find a different line of work. I don’t think many, if any, of us could say with certainty, how we would respond. What did he think would be expected of someone carrying a weapon and asked to rescue school kids trapped by a “looney” with an AR-15 would expect. This falls squarely on the plate of our FBI, does it not?

And again, I say, “FIRE HIM, MY REAR END!” He (they) should be fired immediately with no further pensions, He (they) should then be arrested, tried and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law… for his lawless direlection of duty and standing in the way of his officers doing THEIR duty. If there were, indeed a “stand down” then the whole department should stand trial as well as the entities who requested it, All involved should be incarcerated, tried, convicted and mete out a sentence equal to the harm he caused…. the whole Department and any who coherest them in to the decision to “stand down”!!! The punishment should equal the crime No more and no less. When we get serious, they will start to understand. (hopefully)

100% Responsible He and all Four of those Deputies should Charged with Negligent Homicide and Jailed to a Maximum Security Facility for the Maximum Sentence Plus Twenty there is no Excuse for their Dereliction of Duty. There is no Excuse at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
