Bill Maher warned Democrats they will keep losing over refusing to admit this awful mistake

The Democrat Party is searching for a path out of the political wilderness.
That’s proving to be harder than anyone imagined.
And Bill Maher warned Democrats they will keep losing over refusing to admit this awful mistake.
HBO Real Time host Bill Maher engaged in a heated debate with the former Obama staffers who are the hosts of Pod Save America about the Left pushing transgenderism on children.
Maher told the hosts that Democrats will lose every election until the end of time as long as people on the Left support the idea that woke activists can secretly convince children to undergo transgender surgeries without the knowledge of their parents.
“You want to lose every election? Just keep coming down on the side of parents coming in second in a ‘Who gets to decide what goes on with my kid’ contest,” Maher stated.
Former Obama speech writer Jon Lovett claimed he wanted parents involved in the decision-making process.
“I don’t want Donald Trump deciding [child trans-related issues], I want parents and doctors,” Lovett began before Maher interrupted him.
“Well, you just said parents can get shut out,” Maher pointed out.
Even if parents are involved, transgender surgeries for children are dangerous, as many times it’s the parents pushing their own pathologies on the kids to force them to pretend to be boys or girls because that’s what the parents wanted in the first place.
Lovett then proved Maher’s point by admitting there were cases where he wanted kids to undergo clandestine transgender surgeries.
“I don’t think parents should get shut out. There are rare exceptions to that,” Lovett stated. “Look, we all believe that parents should have the decisions over their children, but we also recognize that some parents do such a bad f****** job, that the kids are in danger.”
“That happens outside of trans issues, that happens all the time,” an unhinged Lovett added. “Some parents are f’ing terrible.”
Lovett then called some parents terrible – likely because they know their child really isn’t transgender – and claimed they had no business in preventing doctors from mutilating their children.
“Somehow, the fact that there are terrible parents in the world gets erased on these [trans-related] questions,” Lovett continued.
Lovett then made an absurd analogy comparing children who later regret undergoing permanent, life-altering transgender surgeries to a failed heart operation.
“There are also really important surgeries that people get for their heart, and they go wrong, and somebody dies. And nobody says, ‘We must stop the cardiologists.’ No one says, ‘We must stop the surgeons,’” Lovett exclaimed.
Maher let Lovett know just how stupid his argument sounded.
“Wow. That’s your analogy?” Maher replied.
Maher then referenced a New York Times story from last October that revealed a doctor refused to publish the results of a 10-year-long study on chemical castration of children because it showed feeding kids puberty blockers had no effect on improving mental health.
“So in other words, it came out not the way you wanted the study to come out — not what you said, that, ‘Oh, all the studies show’ — no,” Maher remarked.
The results of the study debunked a key claim made by transgender activists, so the doctor buried the study.
Maher told Lovett Democrats are losing on this issue because their demand is that parents allow their children to undergo dangerous surgeries when all the data and the science points in the other direction.
“Some people, yes, [trans surgeries] are the right thing,” Maher concluded. “But to take that risk at that age, before you know s*** about anything — and again, this was a very long study, very thorough. And they wouldn’t release it, because it came out with the wrong conclusion.”
