Bill Clinton had one eyebrow-raising response to this sudden death

Bill Clinton’s legacy is defined by scandals.

That’s never going to change.

And Bill Clinton had one eyebrow-raising response to this sudden death.

The family of former Independent Counsel Ken Starr announced that he died at the age of 76.

“We are deeply saddened with the loss of our dear and loving Father and Grandfather, whom we admired for his prodigious work ethic, but who always put his family first,” Starr’s son Randall announced. “The love, energy, endearing sense of humor, and fun-loving interest Dad exhibited to each of us was truly special, and we cherish the many wonderful memories we were able to experience with him. He is now with his Lord and Savior.”

Ken Starr was the former Whitewater Independent Counsel whose investigation uncovered the fact that Bill Clinton perjured himself by lying under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Starr eventually turned in a report about his investigation that led to a bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives impeaching Clinton in December of 1998.

Clinton survived the ordeal of his own making when the Senate acquitted him.

However, the impeachment will forever remain as the first line of any write-ups about Bill Clinton’s legacy.

It’s custom and just plain good manners to not speak ill of the dead.

But Clinton could not abide by those norms in an interview with CNN.

Clinton took a shot at Starr just days after his passing by stating that he always tried to live by the rule, if you don’t have anything nice to say about someone, do not say anything at all.

“I read the obituary, and I realized that his family loved him, and I think that’s something to be grateful for. And when your life is over, that’s all there is to say. But I was taught not to talk about people that, you know…I have nothing to say, except that I’m glad he died with the love of his family,” Clinton ranted.

Monica Lewinsky also weighed in on Starr’s death on social media, but her comments contained far more grace than Clinton’s.

Kenn Starr did not create Bill Clinton’s political problems.

Clinton did that by lying under oath about his affair with Lewinsky.
