Bernie Sanders took a trip that could reveal his plans for 2020
Democrats are still in disarray after Hillary Clinton’s massive failure in 2016.
The Democrats’ only message is to “Resist” President Trump, and their bench of potential 2020 contenders is non-existent.
Now this move by Vermont Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders shows they’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Sanders, the 76-year-old who has never held a real job in his life, announced that he was taking a trip to Iowa.
The Hill reports:
Democrats with an eye on challenging President Trump in 2020 are already making travel plans that could position themselves for a potential bid.
Progressive favorite Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) sparked the latest round of intrigue last week when he announced he’d be heading back to Iowa, which hosts the first vote of the presidential primary race, to campaign for a former staffer’s congressional bid.
The 2018 Midterms will start heating up soon.
Democrat politicians will be jockeying to make a name for themselves by campaigning in key swing states and early primary states like Iowa in hopes to raise their profile for 2020.
Among the early Democrat frontrunners are Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, and Elizabeth Warren.
But do any of those names truly pose a threat to unseating President Trump?
