Bernie Sanders and Democratic-Socialism just suffered one of their biggest defeats yet
Since Bernie Sanders lost to Hillary Clinton in 2016, so-called Democratic-Socialists have taken over the Democrat Party.
The most radical elements are now calling the shots.
But Bernie and his socialist pals just suffered a massive defeat.
Senator Sanders’ very own son, Levi Sanders, just lost his bid for Congress in New Hampshire.
Sanders only garnered an embarrassing 1.8 percent of the vote.
The Daily Caller reports:
Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders’s son lost his congressional bid Tuesday after his father refused to endorse his candidacy or provide him with resources necessary to compete in New Hampshire.
Levi Sanders received only 1.8 percent of the vote in the Granite State’s primary election, losing to Executive Council Chris Pappas. Levi faced an uphill battle after he managed to cobble together less than $40,000 in donations, according to data from the Federal Election Commission. Pappas raised more than $820,000 by Aug. 22…
“The Sanders name doesn’t do him a lot of good without his dad’s fundraising network to fund him,” Scala told ABC reporters Tuesday. “And he lives far outside the district, and that hurts as one might expect.”
Levi was contending with the likes of Pappas and former Obama administration official Maura Sullivan, both of whom led a crowded field of 11 Democrats.
Socialist darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez convinced Democrats that socialism is the wave of the future.
So more Democrats rushed to tout their socialist credentials.
They’ve called for abolishing ICE to make a pathway to open borders.
They’ve called for government-run healthcare.
They’ve even called for an end to the Trump tax cuts.
But socialism is a proven loser in America.
Even voters in the Democrat primaries are beginning to reject how radical these candidates have become.
