Amy Coney Barrett crushed Democrats with a back-breaking defeat that Joe Biden feared

One of the centerpieces of Joe Biden’s agenda lies in tatters.

It’s all thanks to the Supreme Court.

And Amy Coney Barrett crushed Democrats with a back-breaking defeat that Joe Biden feared.

The Supreme Court handed down a landmark decision massively expanding gun rights.

In the case of New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen, the Court ruled that the Second Amendment extended to carrying a concealed weapon outside the home.

But that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Justice Clarence Thomas authored a stunning opinion obliterating the absurd “two-step” approach the Court previously used to uphold gun grabs.

This two-step test called for the Court to determine if the gun control law in question fell outside the purview of the Second Amendment, and then to figure out if a core Second Amendment right was under threat.

Instead, Justice Thomas and the majority cut it back to one simple step that makes it much more difficult for the government to argue gun control is Constitutional.

Under the new one step test, the government must prove that any gun grab is consistent with the United State’s “history and tradition” of the right to keep and bear arms.

Chief Justice John Roberts shot down challenges to the gun control two-step rule for years.

But Amy Coney Barrett replacing the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg changed the Court’s calculus, as now there were five conservative Justices and they didn’t need Roberts’ vote to advance gun rights.

After the decision came down, Joe Biden was left whining to reporters about the decision that not only struck down New York’s stringent concealed carry scheme, but will also lead to a host of legal challenges to laws that disarm law-abiding American citizens.

“I was just talking to [New York Governor Kathy Hochul] about this, I am disappointed in the Supreme Court gun decision,” Biden complained.

“Not good enough, but I think it’s a bad decision, I think it’s not reasoned accurately, but I’m disappointed,” Biden added.
