Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey spent weeks warning ICE agents they'd get killed in his city.

Now all hell is breaking loose.

And Americans are demanding Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey's resignation after video captured the moment anti-ICE rhetoric turned deadly.

Frey set the stage for violence against ICE agents

Mayor Jacob Frey made himself crystal clear over the past month about where he stands on Trump's immigration enforcement.

On December 3, the Democrat Mayor signed an executive order blocking ICE from using city parking lots to stage operations.

Then on December 26, Frey issued what amounted to a veiled threat against federal law enforcement.

"I am increasingly concerned because of the actions that ICE has taken," Frey said in a video that went viral on social media.

He warned that ICE operations could lead to agents getting killed.

Everyone knew what he meant.

Frey was telling his political base that resistance against ICE wouldn't be stopped by his office.

The Mayor depends on Minneapolis's massive Somali population to stay in power.

Trump sent 2,000 ICE agents to investigate billions in fraud tied to Somali-run childcare centers with direct links to the terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

Frey chose protecting criminals over supporting federal law enforcement.

Protester blocked federal agents then got shot

Wednesday morning, ICE agents conducting operations in south Minneapolis near 34th and Portland got blocked by protesters.

Video shows a 37-year-old woman sitting in a burgundy Honda Pilot stopped across the street.

ICE officers approached her vehicle and ordered her to get out of the car.

The woman backed up slightly then began pulling forward.

An ICE agent positioned at the front of her vehicle opened fire through the driver's side windshield.

Three shots rang out.

The SUV accelerated about 100 feet before crashing into a utility pole.

The woman died from a gunshot wound to the head at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Witnesses reportedly said ICE agents wouldn't let a doctor who was at the scene help the woman.

Emergency medical technicians didn't arrive for 15 minutes.

Homeland Security called it domestic terrorism

Department of Homeland Security didn't mince words about what happened.

"ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them — an act of domestic terrorism," DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated.

"An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots," she added.

Secretary Kristi Noem backed up her agents completely.

"It was an act of domestic terrorism," Noem said during remarks in Texas.

"A woman attacked them and those surrounding them and attempted to run them over and rammed them with her vehicle," she continued.

"An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively shot to protect himself and the people around him," Noem added.

The Trump Administration pointed out ICE agents face a 1,300% increase in assaults and an 8,000% increase in death threats.

Frey exploded with profane attack on ICE

Mayor Frey held a press conference Wednesday afternoon and launched a profanity-laced tirade against ICE.

"They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense," Frey told reporters.

"Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bulls***," he added.

Then Frey delivered his demand that ICE leave Minneapolis.

"To ICE: Get the f*** out of Minneapolis," Frey shouted.

"We do not want you here," he continued.

"Your stated reason for being in this city is to create some kind of safety and you are doing exactly the opposite," Frey stated.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara backed up his boss by calling the self-defense narrative "garbage."

The video shows the woman's vehicle moving after ICE agents ordered her out of the car.

What's disputed is whether she was trying to flee or attacking the agents.

Federal officials say she weaponized her vehicle to run over officers.

Frey and local officials claim she was trying to leave and the shooting was reckless.

Conservative voices demand Frey resign immediately

Americans watching this unfold had a very different reaction than Frey.

Conservative commentator Benny Johnson posted video of Frey's December 26 warning about ICE agents getting killed.

"Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey warns ICE agents could be killed if operations continue in the city," Johnson wrote.

"He knows exactly what he is doing, his supporters are listening," he added.

Eric Daugherty summed up what millions of Americans were thinking.

"JUST IN: Americans are demanding the RESIGNATION of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey because he THREATENED violence against ICE just a couple weeks ago," Daugherty posted.

"Now, today, a suspect tried RUNNING OVER ICE with her vehicle, resulting in self defense shots," he continued.

"Resign. Now. HE IS COMPLICIT," Daugherty added.

The White House issued a sharp rebuke calling ICE agents "heroes" who removed "droves of hardened criminals" from Minneapolis streets.

The statement accused Frey of undermining their work and said he "should be ashamed of himself."

Look, here's what nobody can dispute.

Frey spent weeks warning that ICE agents could get killed in Minneapolis.

He organized resistance networks to monitor and obstruct federal law enforcement.

He signed executive orders making it harder for ICE to operate.

He told his political base that standing in ICE's way was acceptable.

Then violence erupted exactly as he predicted it would.

A woman blocking federal agents ended up dead after her vehicle moved toward an officer who fired in response.

Whether she was attacking or fleeing, she wouldn't have been in that situation without Frey encouraging resistance to ICE operations.

The Mayor created a powder keg then acted shocked when it exploded.

Federal agents conducting lawful operations got blocked by protesters emboldened by their Mayor's rhetoric.

An ICE officer made a split-second decision when a vehicle moved toward him.

That's what happens when elected officials tell their supporters to resist federal law enforcement instead of staying out of the way.

Frey can blame ICE all he wants.

But Americans see a Mayor who spent weeks setting the stage for violence then blamed the agents who responded to it.

That's why they're demanding his resignation.
