Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez received one challenge that took her completely by surprise
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is beginning her second term in Congress intending to make another splash.
It’s not going as intended.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez received one challenge that took her completely by surprise.
Ocasio-Cortez is one of the lead sponsors of the $93 trillion Marxist Green New Deal.
This $93 trillion communist scheme would completely reorder American life and the economy by banning air travel and hamburgers, destroying the American energy sector by ending the reliance on fossil fuels, upending American farming, and rebuilding cities to make them “sustainable” all in the name of so-called “climate change”.
An early draft of the “Green New Deal” even contained provisions paying people who weren’t working.
After Ocasio-Cortez reintroduced the Green New Deal, freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene challenged Ocasio-Cortez to a debate on the merits of the Green New Deal.
The Green New Deal is the centerpiece of Ocasio-Cortez’s agenda and Congresswoman Greene thought Ocasio-Cortez would be glad to defend it in public.
But Ocasio-Cortez ignored all calls for a debate.
The blockade may have broken after Congresswoman Greene tweeted out a picture of the two speaking on the House floor and declaring that she read Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal like Ocasio-Cortez asked and said they would set up a scheduled time and place for a debate.
I’m glad I ran into you today @AOC to plan our debate about the Green New Deal.

During the Presidential campaign, Joe Biden claimed he did not support the Green New Deal.
That’s because it was wildly unpopular in the polls.
But his campaign website called it an important start.
And his $2 trillion infrastructure bill is basically a Trojan horse for the Green New Deal.
Republicans suspect that the reason Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t want to debate the Green New Deal is to avoid letting the American people in on the secret that Joe Biden is trying to impose this socialist scheme through other means.
