Adam Schiff asked the one person to testify that could bring down Donald Trump
Democrats are zeroing in on the witnesses they think will ensure impeachment is a slam dunk.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her allies are desperately racing against the clock to wrap up impeachment before the 2020 primaries begin.
And Adam Schiff asked the one person to testify that could bring down Donald Trump.
Democrats are not done parading witnesses before Adam Schiff and his secret kangaroo court.
House Democrats are now demanding acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney appear before Schiff closed door Stalinist inquisition.
House impeachment investigators asked President Donald Trump’s acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, to appear for a deposition later this week.
Lawmakers leading the impeachment inquiry believe Mulvaney can provide firsthand details about Trump’s decision to withhold military aid from Ukraine at a time he was pressing Ukraine’s government to launch investigations into his political rivals.
Mulvaney previously publicly declared that the decision on aid was linked to the demand for investigations, but he later walked back those comments.
Democrats believe Mulvaney is a key witness because he was the one that initially placed the hold on Ukrainian military aid.
Trump’s opponents also twisted Mulvaney’s words at a press conference claiming Mulvaney admitted the Trump administration withheld money to Ukraine as part of a deal over investigations into Joe Biden.
There is little chance Mulvaney will actually testify.
The Trump administration will claim executive privilege and block Mulvaney from testifying.
But this move in and of itself is another Democrat trick.
Schiff and Pelosi will claim that by blocking aides from testifying Trump is “obstructing Congress” which will result in another article of impeachment.
