A top Democrat just made this stunning confession about the coronavirus
It’s not just President Trump under a microscope for his response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Democrats are as well.
And a top Democrat just made this stunning confession about the coronavirus.
New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy imposed one of the most draconian lockdown orders in the nation.
Over 500,000 New Jerseyans lost their jobs as Murphy closed businesses as part of his government-mandated shutdown.
Murphy appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program and Carlson pressed Murphy as closing state parks and locking the doors on churches as an assault on the Bill of Rights.
“By what authority did you nullify the Bill of Rights in issuing this order?
How do you have the power to do that?” Carlson asked Murphy.
Murphy’s answer exploded virally across social media as Murphy admitted he never once considered the Constitution when making his decision.
“That’s above my pay grade, Tucker. So, I wasn’t thinking of the Bill of Rights when we did this.” Murphy continued by saying he looked at science and data on social distancing.
Murphy tried to mitigate the damage by claiming this was done in conjunction with religious leaders stating “we would never do that without coordinating, discussing, and hashing it out with the leaders — the variety of the leaders of the faiths of New Jersey.”
But across the country Americans are getting fed up with these Soviet-style lockdown orders.
In Michigan, thousands of residents protested Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s unconstitutional order banning travel between private homes, blocking stores from selling seeds for gardens, and closing down businesses.
Murphy’s admission that he never considered the Bill of Rights when imposing his lockdown will only serve to invite protests and lawsuits.
