A Supreme Court Justice said the one word that changed America forever
Donald Trump will be faced with the biggest decision of his Presidency.
The fate of the Supreme Court hangs in the balance.
That’s because a key Supreme Court Justice said the one word that changed America forever.
81 year-old Justice Anthony Kennedy finally announced his retirement.
Kennedy – who was long known as the “swing justice” – handed Trump his retirement letter in a meeting at the White House on the day the Supreme Court wrapped up its business for the term.
Conservatives had long expected Kennedy to retire and they were thrilled to see Kennedy’s official announcement.
Kennedy provided the swing vote to legalize homosexual marriage and uphold abortion rights and affirmative action.
Conservative voters – who turned out for Trump in record numbers – will be expecting the President to nominate a conservative in the mold of Neil Gorsuch.
Trump’s pledge to nominate conservative jurists pushed Evangelical turnout to record numbers in 2016 and the President has followed through once in office.
In addition to Justice Gorsuch, the President has stocked the judiciary with young and conservative jurists at a record pace.
But this is the once-in-a-generational moment conservatives have waiting for.
President Trump has the chance to appoint a nominee who will end the moral stain of abortion, protect religious liberty and strike down gun control legislation.
Democrats reacted with screaming and gnashing of teeth, but there is nothing they can do stop President Trump from placing a rock solid conservative on the bench.
And thanks to Democrats outrageous obstructionism, Republicans only need a bare majority in the Senate to confirm President Trump’s nominee.
