A Supreme Court justice dropped a major bombshell that Democrats will hate

The Supreme Court is on the verge of one of the most consequential terms anyone can remember.
Liberals are nervous.
And now one Supreme Court justice dropped a major bombshell that Democrats will hate.
The Supreme Court recently allowed a Texas law to take effect that effectively banned abortions after six weeks by allowing private citizens to file lawsuits against abortion mills.
Abortion on demand is the North Star for the American Left and liberals around the country pitched a fit.
That was especially true in the media, where left-wing activists worked themselves up into a self-righteous fury about how if abortionists could not kill babies with impunity, America would fall into fascism.
Conservative Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito ripped the biased media coverage, calling out the Atlantic in a speech at the University of Notre Dame.
“Here is a line from a recent piece talking about our refusal to grant an injunction in the Texas abortion case: “The conservative majority on the Supreme Court was so eager to nullify Roe v. Wade, the 1973 precedent securing the right to abortion, that it didn’t even wait for oral arguments,” Alito claimed.
Alito argued the decision in Texas did not overturn Roe v. Wade and that the Atlantic completely misrepresented what the Court did.
“Put aside the false and inflammatory claim that we nullified Roe v. Wade,” Alito added. “We did no such thing and we said that expressly in our order.”
Alito added that the five justices who ruled the Texas law could take effect even wondered if the law was constitutional.
“The applicants now before us have raised serious questions regarding the constitutionality of the Texas law at issue,” Alito added.
“This order is not based on any conclusion about the constitutionality of Texas’s law,” Alito concluded.
The decision not to stay the Texas law was a technical decision.
Since the law does not ask government agencies to enforce the law, the initial suit against the state of Texas should fail.
The justices ruled – correctly – that you can’t file a lawsuit to stop a lawsuit.
But what worried leftists in the media was the Court agreed to hear arguments on Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks.
And the media is already laying the groundwork for a pressure campaign to bully the justices into killing that law.
