Leftists are calling to dump Chuck Schumer as Senate Minority Leader after Schumer surrendered to President Trump on a spending freeze bill.

The Democrat Party is currently a rudderless ship with no message or leader.

Pollster Frank Luntz thinks that changed when New Jersey Senator Cory Booker set the all-time record for longest speech in Senate history when he held the floor for more than 25 hours.

No one can remember a single thing Booker said, no one can remember what Booker was talking about.

And few even realized Booker actually spoke for that long.

But despite these facts, Luntz claimed Booker “changed the course of political history” with a speech that was the Washington equivalent of a tree falling in the forest with no one around to hear it.

“They’re going crazy right now,” Luntz told NewsNation host Leland Vittert about the Democrat Party base. “And they’re going crazy because they don’t see leadership in their own party. And I want to emphasize what Cory Booker did over the last 24 hours may have changed the course of political history.”

Luntz went so far as to predict this speech would catapult Booker to leading the Democrat Party in 2028.

“And just as you sometimes make projections or predictions, I’m going to do one right here. That speech puts Cory Booker as one of the leaders for the Democratic Party in 2028, and I’ll go even further. If you ask Democratic senators right now, would they rather have led them over the next three years, they would choose Cory Booker over Chuck Schumer,” Luntz added.

Booker ran for President in 2020 and dropped out after gaining zero traction.

But Luntz claimed all the Democrats running in 2020 tried to position themselves as woke fanatics and that this time is different.

“Not only is it a different Cory Booker, it’s a different United States of America. It’s a different Democratic Party. You’re not the same as you were back then,” Luntz continued. And I was very critical of that moment, because it came across as inauthentic, as why I’m so amazed about what I just saw. And I tuned in all throughout the day, which makes me weird. I admit it.”

Luntz claimed Schumer’s participation in the stunt – making a token appearance just to get his face on camera – showed everything wrong with Schumer’s leadership and why Democrats sought to replace him.

“And frankly, I don’t think Chuck Schumer could ever do this. And I listened to him interrupt Booker to tell him he set the all-time record. I’m thinking only Chuck Schumer would interrupt this meaningful historic moment to get his soundbite included in that debate,” Luntz stated.

Luntz reiterated that Booker was a name to watch in the 2028 Presidential Election cycle.

“Booker raised some eyebrows tonight, and I’m telling you, he’s going to be a Democratic leader going forward, and people are going to be talking about him for 2028,” Luntz concluded.

Republicans would be thrilled at this development.

Booker couldn’t even defeat Kamala Harris for the 2020 nomination.
