A new campaign finance report exposed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s darkest secret
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s rise has become an outright public relations nightmare for Democrats.
Every week she puts her foot in her mouth by making an outlandish statement or proposal.
But a report just came out that exposed her darkest secret.
A report on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign could be the end of the “Green New Deal.”
According to her campaign finance reports, it is clear that the Congresswoman does not seem to care about her own “carbon footprint.”
The report shows that the campaign had over 1,000 transactions with Uber and Lyft even though her campaign HQ was 138 feet from a public subway.
The Daily Caller reports:
The Post noted that Ocasio-Cortez, who purports to have a “razor-sharp BS detector,” isn’t quite so assiduous in “sniffing out her own.” (RELATED: Trump Delights Crowd With Green New Deal Mockery)
Since seeking the Democratic candidacy in her district, Ocasio-Cortez and her campaign staff have significantly added to greenhouse gasses by driving cars and avoiding using the nearby subway.
“She listed 1,049 transactions for Uber, Lyft, Juno and other car services, federal filings show. The campaign had 505 Uber expenses alone,” according to the Post.
On Saturday night, Ocasio-Cortez said “I also fly & use A/C [air conditioning],” adding, “Living in the world as it is isn’t an argument against working towards a better future.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez unilaterally declared herself the leader on the “Climate Change” issue in Congress when she announced the “Green New Deal.”
But she was just exposed as a total hypocrite on so-called “global warming.”
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won’t even play by her own rules.
But she wants to tell every other American they can no longer travel by plane and force them to use public transportation.
Al Gore faced similar criticism after he released “An Inconvenient Truth” in 2006.
Once it was discovered that Gore’s home consumed 20 times the amount of energy used by the average American household, he was declared a hypocrite and faded into irrelevancy.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could face that same fate with her extreme use of flights and gasoline.
She attempted to defend herself via Twitter, but was unable to make the case as to why she is an exception from her rules.
If Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to eliminate gasoline and air travel, she should live up to her own standards.
