Even though they claim they want to live a private life, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle love being in the public spotlight.

But this is not the spotlight that the famous couple is seeking.

And a bombshell letter just surfaced that left Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hanging their heads in shame.

Things are not going well for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle currently reside in the state of California.

The couple burned bridges with the Royal Family by accusing them of racism and spilling dirty laundry.

But their departure from the Royal Family hasn’t turned out like the couple hoped it would.

In fact, The Hollywood Reporter listed Harry and Markle as having one of the worst years in 2023 of anyone in the entire entertainment industry.

“In 2020, the royal duo fled a life of ceremonial public service to cash in their celebrity status in the States,” the Hollywood Reporter wrote. “But after a whiny Netflix documentary, a whiny biography (Spare — even the title is a pouty gripe) and an inert podcast, the Harry and Meghan brand swelled into a sanctimonious bubble just begging to be popped — and South Park was the pin.”

On Monday, King Charles III named Prince William as the Chief of the Army Air Corps, a position that Prince Harry reportedly desperately wanted.

This came right after news broke that Prince Harry would not be meeting with his father, who has cancer, while on his recent trip to the United Kingdom to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Even though they constantly seek attention, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claim that they desire to live a private life out of the public spotlight.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make a big blunder with their charity

And now Harry and Markle are in the spotlight for one embarrassing letter sent out by the Attorney General of California.

They have a charity called the Archewell Foundation.

The Foundation is named in honor of their son Archie and the purpose is “quite simply, to do good.”

“We meet the moment by showing up, taking action, and using our unparalleled spotlight to uplift and unite communities, both local and global, online and offline,” their mission statement reads.

But the California Attorney General just sent the Archewell Foundation a letter notifying it to stop spending and soliciting money because the charity has been found “delinquent.”

“An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds,” the Attorney General’s letter read.  “The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry.”

“Once you submit the delinquent record(s), you will be notified of the amount of any late fees that are owed,” the letter continued.

Apparently, the Foundation’s registration fees lapsed at the beginning of May.

In order to be reinstated, the charity will have to pay late fees to California and also submit records showing why they failed to make the payment on time.

This is an embarrassment for Harry and Markle.

Last year’s financial statements showed an $11 million drop in donations for the charity compared to the previous year.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons.
